Finding a hotel is easy, but first, you should decide what area of town you would like to stay at during your visit. Do you want to be as close as possible to Fort Benning, a quick visit, in-and-out, or do you want to be near dining and entertainment options? Take a look at the areas below and make your pick!
When visiting Columbus for military graduation, we recommend you stay in one of these three main areas based on your preference: As close as possible to Fort Benning, Near Fort Benning (downtown Columbus), and North Columbus. The maps below will help you locate the hotel depending on the area of your choice.
AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO FORT MOORE (FORT BENNING)

In this area, you will find a number of hotels located within 5 -7 min to Fort Benning and the National Infantry Museum. There are fast-food restaurants and a few local places – BBQ, Mexican, Korean, in the area that you may enjoy!
NEAR FORT MOORE (FORT BENNING)

In this area, downtown Columbus, you will find a few hotels and plenty of restaurants. You’ll enjoy this area if you want to be close to coffee shops and great local food. You may visit the Columbus RiverWalk, or walk through downtown Columbus and enjoy the city vibes. A few hotels in Phenix City, Alabama are located just across the river.
NORTH COLUMBUS

In this area, you will be close to plenty of restaurants, malls, and entertainment such as movie theaters, bowling, and much more. You may access the area from I-185 using Exit 8 and Exit 10. There are hotels, restaurants, and shopping to accommodate almost every taste. If you are looking to spend quality time with your soldier, you’ll find plenty of great options in North Columbus.
Try to book a hotel as soon as possible to secure good accommodations during your visit. If there are any changes to the graduation date (which is rare but sometimes happens), you may cancel your hotel stay within 24 or 48 hrs prior to your trip. Please be sure to book a refundable rate with standard cancelation.
